Are we ready for a new paradigm?

The first item one proposing a radical shift to a drastically new model must do is to justify the "Magnitude" of their proposal. This justification must come at two levels. First it must occur in the negative and also in the positive. That is, one must justify the need to replace the old model and then prove the soundness of the new model.

What we must do is to decide if the old model works. First, we must identify the old model. Then some hard hitting questions must be asked. If through this process we decide that the old model is not working, we must identify the areas in which it isn't working. The next step is to determine if the problems with the model are terminal.

We believe that we have gone some distance down the path to understanding the insurance industry in this country. In the weeks that follow, we will state our case, both against the old model and for the new model we hope to introduce.

At F.R.E.E., the insurance industry is not the only model we have put under our microscope. We intend to look at several different models (the media; politics; big business as a whole; the concept of commercialism and more) and have conversations with as many of the everyday folks that keep this great country working. In this way, we hope to find the answers that will meet peoples' needs. We are not interested in agendas. We are interested in people! That is where our hearts are. We want to make a difference in this country. We want to teach others how to do the same.
